The Presidential Election Might be Over, But We're Not

It has been a while, but we are back, and we are ready to roll.  What has got us rolling, you ask?  The municipal elections - they are fast approaching.  As the municipal elections are very local in scale and they are not bundled with the presidential election - a time that gets the most voter attention - they are often left behind.  It is important to remember, though, that municipal elections are often a great gateway for mobility in politics - they serve as a pipeline that leads to a greater source.  Because most women don't enter politics until much later in their lives, this pipeline doesn't take them quite as far.  This is why, when women, especially young women, enter elections on the municipal level, it is vital that they have the support they need.

At the MWPC , it is our job to stay tapped into the local elections.  But more than that, we have a burning desire to see women in office and to support them in doing so.  You have a very important role in this scheme, too.  Read the news, volunteer, donate to the MWPC PAC, send your fellow women some love and suport - all hands on deck for a successful year with women in politics!
