Happy Birthday to Abigail
Adams, a self-educated, fierce advocate for women’s equality!
Adams famously wrote in a letter to
her husband, John Adams: “If particular care and attention
is not paid to the Ladies we are determined to foment a rebellion, and will not
hold ourselves bound by any Laws in which we have no voice, or representation.”
This message holds true today as we continue to
strive for greater representation for women in government across the
Commonwealth.
