Remembering Dotty Lynch
Today, politically minded women mourn the loss of a
trailblazer, Dotty Lynch, who passed on Monday August 11th, 2014.
The first female political pollster for a presidential candidate, Ms. Lynch
brought the voter gap between men and women to the attention of party leaders.
Following her political consulting career, she spent many years in journalism
as the leading expert on the political opinions of American women. Not only was
she revered for her role in highlighting the importance of the female vote, she
was widely regarded as the go-to person for mentorship, guidance and
connection. An outpouring of fond
remembrances came from the political journalism community, celebrating her
generosity and influence. As political women, we owe more gratitude than we can
show to the woman who brought our opinions to the forefront. Read more about Dotty Lynch here: Dotty Lynch, Pollster Who Saw the Gender Gap, Is Dead at 69
